About

Hi, I’m Marijn.

I make Our Niche Hub from the Netherlands: free web tools for small jobs that ordinary software makes harder than it should be.

Where the tools come from

Each tool starts with someone online describing a specific problem. If a good tool for it already exists, I don’t build another one.

• PairSort started with a request from someone who had scanned eight photo albums, front and back, and needed to reverse the numbering without separating each photo from its back.
• PurlMind came from knitters keeping spreadsheets for shaping that a pattern says to work “at the same time”.
• Backstitch came from stitchers who wanted to chart their own line drawings, which most converters turn into blocky outlines.

How they work

Everything runs in your browser, so your photos, drawings and plans stay on your device. That also keeps the tools fast and cheap to run, which is why they are free.
